Ag Day Information
This much-loved event allows tamariki to rear and present animals such as lambs, goats, and calves, while also showcasing their efforts in indoor exhibits like flower arrangements, baking, and craft projects. It’s a day where our school values shine through, with students proudly sharing the results of their hard work and preparation.
The day is full of colour and community spirit, with families coming together to support and encourage one another. Judging takes place across various categories, and the focus is not just on winning, but on participation, learning, and personal growth. The event fosters a sense of pride in our rural heritage and offers a valuable hands-on learning experience that goes beyond the classroom. Indoor exhibits are always a highlight, with creative displays reflecting students’ individuality and talents.
Agricultural Day is also a wonderful way to strengthen the connection between home, school, and the wider community. It’s a day filled with fun, learning, and celebration — one that students remember fondly for years to come. We are grateful for the involvement of whānau and volunteers who help make this special day possible and ensure that our agricultural traditions continue to be a meaningful part of Rotokauri School life.
